2019 Agave Week and Top Taco Festival in New Orleans

*UPDATE* Top Taco Festival has been postponed due to the threat of severe weather earlier in the week. New date is May 16th. *UPDATE*

In New Orleans, we have the luxury of avoiding the Post-Holiday Blues that everywhere else deals with after New Years since Mardi Gras Season starts with Twelfth Night on January 6th. But, as we approach Mardi Gras Day this Tuesday, the looming dread of Post-Mardi Gras Blues is almost upon us. Luckily, the 2nd annual Agave Week starts the Sunday after Mardi Gras on March 10th and ends with a fun and taco-filled festival on Thursday, March 14th. We'll definitely be indulging in some tequila and tacos to keep that carnival spirit alive!

Agave Week is filled with all kinds of events, seminars, dinners, and parties to tickle all of your senses, not just your tastebuds! Some of the events we're most looking forward to are Margaritas and Mariachi, Lucha Libre, and Top Taco Festival. Fest-goers even get to vote on their favorite tacos, margaritas, and other tequila cocktails.

As if the line up of events wasn't enough to get your inner Mariachi band rumbling, know that a portion of proceeds will be going to benefit Foster NOLA, a charity designed to help children who are currently in or have recently aged out of the New Orleans foster care system.

So, take a break from planning next year's costume and check out one of the newest festivals to hit NOLA.

You can find a schedule of all of their events, along with tickets on their website: https://nolaagaveweek.com/
